
As a member of the Team Venom Cycling family you are entitled to access to a licensed USA Cycling (USAC) coach. Members can call or email our coach for questions or advice on cycling techniques, health issues, tactics or just general cycling questions. Members also have the benefit of going out on club rides and team training rides with the coach, where he will be available to give you hands-on guidance and assistance.
If you require or want a more "personalized" or custom-made training program set up for you, members have the option to receive private coaching at a very reasonable Club discount. Programs are available by the day, week or month - Both "on-bike" and "gym" programs are available.

John A. Harris
Age: 42
Height: 5'10 Weight: 175lbs. (cycling season) 185lbs (off season)
Occupation: Security Manager; Ingham Regional Medical Center
Licenses/Certifications: USA Cycling (USAC) Level 3 Coach,
Bio: John has been involved in cycling for over 13 years. He started out in long endurance tours, such as the National 24 Hour Challenge, DALMAC - Quad Century, as well as many other century tours. He naturally progressed to USCF racing and placed 2nd in his very first criterium in 1999. During the Winter of 2007 John became licensed as a Level 3 USAC Coach. His cycling strengths are in base-building, time trialing and general cycling fitness and safety.
Prior to entering the sport of cycling, John had spent over 10 years as a powerlifter and bodybuilder. Although he never had the desire to pose and compete on stage, he did train and diet as if he was. John still maintains a very strong ability to lift heavy and build a strong base during the off-season (cycling). As a cyclist now, he still bench presses 300lbs., squats over 400lbs and deadlifts over 400lbs for reps. John has been training individuals "in the gym" for over 15 years and has an uncanny ability to motivate his clients and help them build a stronger body.
John also played football for 10 years. Coached youth soccer (5-6 year old div.) for 2 years (4 seasons).
